You started your business to do meaningful work, make your own rules, and build something that felt aligned with you.
But somewhere along the way, you lost the plot.
Between expert advice, marketing blueprints, and well-meaning mentors, you began trading in your intuition for someone else’s instruction manual.
Now you’re feeling stuck- marching in place, not seeing the results and wondering what to do next.
Unfortunately, this happens to almost every entrepreneur I know.
Most entrepreneurs are taught to build someone else's version of success.
From the start, the messaging is loud and clear:
“Follow this system.”
“Model this funnel.”
“Use my 7-figure template.”
It’s all paint-by-numbers. But what no one tells you is—those numbers weren’t made for your picture.
Here are a few more reasons people lose touch with who they are in their business:
Reason #1: They silence their gut in favor of “what works.”
Reason #2: They fear that doing things differently will cost them clients.
Reason #3: They’ve consumed so much information, they can’t hear their own thoughts anymore.
Reason #4: They mistake imitation for inspiration—and get stuck in comparison loops.
But the good news?
You can break free from all of that. Stick until the end for a free download to print and complete!
Here’s how, step by step:
Step 1: Call out the “shoulds” running the show.
The first step is awareness—and it’s more powerful than you think.
Write down every “should” you’ve absorbed in your business.
“I should be on Instagram.”
“I should launch a group program.”
“I should charge high-ticket.”
“I should post every day.”
“I should be further along by now.”
Then ask: Whose voice is this? Is it even mine?
One client of mine realized she built an entire offer because a coach told her it was “the easiest thing to sell.” But it wasn’t what she wanted to be known for—and it showed in her results. Once she dropped the offer and rebuilt from alignment, she not only made more money—she felt proud of what she was doing again.
Step 2: Make space for your real voice to return.
Most people try to fix things by adding more: more strategy, more content, more courses.
But the truth is—clarity comes from subtraction.
Where most go wrong is they skip the pause. They don’t create the stillness needed to hear themselves again.
Take a break from the noise.
That might mean stepping away from Instagram.
Muting the podcasts.
Canceling the course you don’t need.
Then, do something analog: journal, walk, collage, talk to a friend.
Ask yourself:
What do I actually care about?
What am I here to say?
What would I create if no one were watching?
Step 3: Rebuild from the inside out.
This is where the magic happens.
When you take the time to strip away what isn’t yours, you begin to see what’s been there all along:
Your natural style.
Your unique lens.
Your own way of solving problems.
And from there? You can rebuild a business that actually fits you.
Whether that means pivoting your offer, rewriting your messaging, or changing how you work—you’ll be moving with integrity. You’ll stop chasing what’s “right” and start becoming the version of you that was buried under all the noise.
So if your business doesn’t feel like you anymore…
This is your permission slip.
Tear up the playbook.
Unfollow the noise.
And reclaim what was yours all along.
You don’t need to become someone new.
You just need to come home to yourself.
