Hi, I’m Tamar Stolz—welcome to the first issue of Back to the Basics With Tamar.
I’m honored that you’re trusting me with your time, and I’m so glad you’re here.
In this first issue, I’m going to show you exactly how to stop spinning your wheels, reconnect to your natural decision-making system, and finally gain traction—even if you’ve already tried everything. For real- this is not fluff.
If you’ve got 37 tabs open in your brain, half-finished offers in Google Docs, or sticky notes scattered everywhere but no momentum to show for it… this newsletter is for you.
The System That Finally Helped Me Move Forward (After Years of Spinning)
If you’re anything like me—or the hundreds of overwhelmed entrepreneurs I’ve worked with—you probably had a moment where you knew:
"I was made for more."
You had something real to offer.
You wanted out of the box someone else built for you.
You started chasing “the answer.”
So you did what everyone does…
👉 You signed up for the courses, the masterminds, the coaches.
👉 You followed the funnels (or as I say, you were funnelized), bought the “proven frameworks”, and joined the free communities.
👉 You showed up. You didn’t quit. But nothing clicked.
And the more you tried, the more drained you became.
Why So Many Stay Stuck
Unfortunately, most people never get traction—because they’re sold broken systems.
Here’s the real reason so many smart, capable entrepreneurs stay stuck:
They follow systems that weren’t designed for their brain.
They copy someone else’s path without adapting it.
They drown in information, mistaking it for clarity.
They think they need more strategy—when they really need better processing.
They assume something’s wrong with them—when really, the system was wrong.
The good news? That ends today.
Let’s reconnect you to the system you already have—your brain’s natural process for action.
Step 1: Reconnect To Your Brain’s Natural Action Cycle
This is the part no one teaches.
Your brain already has a built-in operating system for action. I call it The Action Cycle:
Clarity → Awareness → Focus → Execution
When you’re overwhelmed, you’re not broken. You’re just disconnected from this cycle.
You're trying to use someone else’s steps, timeline, or priorities—and it doesn’t work.
But when you reconnect to your Action Cycle?
That’s when things start to move.
One of my clients said this process felt like “therapy for her business.” Not because it’s woo—but because it works.
So, ready to reconnect? Keep reading👇
Step 2: Stop Consuming and Start Action Mapping
To help make the Action Cycle tangible, I developed a system called The Action Mapping Method which allows us to access The Action Cycle in a visible, hands-on way. It lets you see what’s going on in your brain—so you can move forward with clarity.
Having a visual, grounded way to return to clarity, regain momentum, and stay aligned with how your brain actually works IS THE DIFFERENCE between stuck and unstuck.
Here’s where so many people get it wrong:
When they feel stuck, they consume more.
More strategies. More webinars. More noise.
But more input doesn’t equal more clarity. It equals more chaos.
Instead, try this (I’ll explain concept here and then I’ll walk you through the exercise in step 3):
Remind yourself of your vision—write it down so you can see it.
Become aware of your current reality—what’s working and what’s not.
Dump your brain—get all your thoughts out onto sticky notes or paper.
Group what's related—find themes and patterns.
Pick 1–3 areas of focus that align with your vision.
Break them down into small, doable steps. Execute today.
That’s what we practice here. Real-time, visual thinking.
Not more strategy—just more you.
Step 3: Practice the Action Mapping Method Right Now
This is where momentum begins.
You don’t need a new plan- you’ve already invested enough!! You are AMAZING! You just need to see what matters—and take one visible step forward. Here’s what I teach my clients:
Quick Visual Reset — Do This in 5 Minutes:
Grab sticky notes and a Sharpie.
Write everything you’re holding in your brain—one thought or task per note.
Group the notes in a way that makes sense to you.
Put a dot on the 3 notes that matter most—those are your priorities today.
Place them somewhere visible—your mirror, wall, or phone.
That’s your restart. Simple. Visual. Doable.
Bonus Resource: From My Mentor, Doug Neill
If you process best visually, you’ll love my mentor and podcast guest, Doug Neill of Verbal to Visual.
Doug’s Sketch-It-Out Framework changed my life and continues to help my clients gain clarity—fast.

IMPORTANT: You do not need to be artistic. I’m not. I draw like a toddler.
This is about thinking visibly, not beautifully.
You’re not broken. YOU CAN DO THIS!
If this issue hit home, I hope you’ll remember:
You don’t need a new blueprint. You need to trust your brain again.
You’re allowed to go slower.
You’re not meant to follow someone else’s map 100%.
You were born to draw your own.
And that’s exactly what we’re going to do—every single week.

Hit reply and tell me—I want to hear it. And if you know someone spinning in circles, send this to them. They deserve to get unstuck too.
Love this Tamar! Going to try it out this week!
Whoaaaaaa. This is EXACTLY what I need. I’m going to do the practice this weekend!
