Tamar, this is such a grounded and honest reflection. Thanks for sharing it so openly. Viral moments can be thrilling, but your clarity about what truly matters is what makes your space feel so genuine. Here’s to slow growth, deep connection, and building with heart.
Wow 😮 I like that it felt uncomfortable not because I enjoy other’s discomfort but because you’re staying true to yourself. I’m slowly and organically growing. I have no how to grow your platform insight. I’m just chugging along, one beautiful new subscriber at a time. Thanks for being your authentic self ❤️ there’s a reason you showed up in my feed ✨
I had a few extra popular posts. One got me 500+ new subs in just a few weeks. But yeah... it was about Substack newbies, not about nutrition and wellness, which is my niche. It is a little scary, but I am also grateful for the boost in subscribers because those 500 extra people joining me say my bio (about wellness) and chose to join me on the journey. So... I hope I am helping them with my words. I know YOU are helping people because you've helped me.
I understand what you’re saying about escaping performative posting Tamar.
The note you’re referring to, was how I discovered you. I want to say that there are many of the “note boost”, “drop your link below” notes and chats.
Your’s stood out. Now you mention it I’ve been called to reflect.
That note felt different to the many that feel like a duty to participate in. A kind of pyramid scheme for subscription.
I believe your intention came through. The whole experience felt genuine. Intention matters and it’s present in every we do.
I don’t say all this to deny your point but to say sometimes virality can be wholesome if the intent is right and resonance isn’t some trick of an algorithm but exposure of an idea whose time has come.
Wow, Tamar, You Blow Me Away!
Aww thank you 🙏 just trying to do the best I can!
