In this week’s newsletter, I’m going to show you how to work with your brain—not against it—so you can finally follow through on your best ideas.
Why this matters:
Because if you’re like most of my readers, you’re not short on ideas.
You’re drowning in them.
You’re brilliant, capable, and full of potential.
But no one taught you how to actually see the invisible cycle your brain goes through from inspiration to execution.
Unfortunately...
Most people don’t learn how to move their ideas forward.
The #1 reason? They think their brain is the problem.
And when you think your brain is broken?
You start looking outside of yourself for solutions.
Apps. Notion templates. 50 different planners.
All built for someone else’s brain.
Here are a few more reasons people stay stuck:
They’re overwhelmed with ideas and can’t choose one
They don’t trust themselves to follow through
They’ve tried every system and nothing sticks
They’ve internalized the belief that they’re lazy or disorganized
They never learned how to see the process between point A and point B
But you’re not broken.
You just need a better map.
Here’s how to get unstuck, step by step:
Step 1: Learn the Action Cycle
This is the invisible process your brain already uses to turn ideas into outcomes.
It’s a four-part loop your brain cycles through. Here at the Action Mapping Method- I refer to this cycle as “The Action Cycle”:
Clarify → (The Spark of Intention) This is the moment the idea forms.
Collect → (Cognitive Overload Begins) Now the brain starts gathering options, doubts, ideas, logistics.
Choose → (Pattern Recognition + Decision Making + Prioritization) The brain thrives on structure. This step is where clarity comes back—your brain starts narrowing focus and making sense of what matters most.
Create → (Action + Execution) Momentum happens. The brain rewards follow-through with dopamine. You’re no longer just thinking—you’re doing.
When you learn to see this cycle, you stop fighting yourself.
You stop thinking you're lazy.
You start making forward progress—fast.
Example:
You’ve probably said “I want to write a course,” but you get stuck researching for 3 weeks. That’s the “Collect” phase hijacking your momentum. Once you see that, you can choose to move to the next step, not stay in an endless loop.
Step 2: Spot Where You’re Stuck
Here’s where most people go wrong: they treat every stuck moment the same way.
But if you’re stuck in “Clarify,” you need a different intervention than if you’re stuck in “Choose.”
Mistake #1: Over-researching when you actually need to make a decision.
Mistake #2: Forcing action before getting clear on the goal.
Mistake #3: Trying to do 10 things at once instead of narrowing focus.
When you learn to diagnose where you are in the Action Cycle, you unlock a custom strategy for getting yourself unstuck—every single time.
Step 3: Use Visual Thinking to Move Forward
Here’s the light at the end of the tunnel: once you see your brain’s process clearly, you can draw it out—and move through it with confidence.
Your brain loves visuals.
And when you make the invisible visible, everything clicks into place.
That’s the power of the Action Mapping Method: It gives your brain a map of what to do next. No more forcing yourself into someone else’s system. Just a simple framework that aligns with how you already think.
If this resonated with you, I’ve got more coming.
Until then, hit reply and let me know:
Where do you get stuck most often—Clarify, Collect, Choose, or Create?
I’d love to hear from you!!
